The mission of KSP is unity. It is the collaborative establishment of a local food system that promotes food sovereignty and eliminates the extractive qualities typically inherent in our food systems that are funded by private ventures. It is to unify our vision of the future of Hawai'i food and land and to provide a means for that visions' fulfilment. It is to decentralize control in local food production so that systemic corruption is not feasible. Ultimately this vision aims to build local security and resilience and to bring back value to the community that would otherwise have been extracted. And at the same time, empowering and connecting our communitiy so we can stand on common ground together with purpose and direction.
